How do I start a project with Dorian Huber Interiors?

The best way to contact us is via our contact form or directly by email. Please send us some initial information about your project. The property's location, floor plans or layouts, some photos of its current condition, the desired scope of work, and an approximate timeframe are particularly helpful.

We will then get back to you to discuss the next steps.

From what project size can I commission Dorian Huber Interiors?

Our focus is on holistic interior design, renovation, and remodeling projects. These can include individual rooms, multiple areas, or the complete redesign or remodeling of a house or apartment.

We would be happy to discuss whether your project aligns with our services in an initial, no-obligation consultation.

Do you handle the entire renovation?

Yes. We can manage your renovation and remodeling projects from the initial concept to completion. In addition to interior design, we handle planning, tendering and awarding contracts, coordination of tradespeople and specialist planners, construction management, and cost, schedule, and quality control.

For our clients, this means one central point of contact for the entire project.

When should I consult an interior architect for a renovation or new construction project?

Ideally, start as early as possible. Many decisions regarding floor plan, kitchen, bathrooms, lighting, materials, and furnishings are interconnected and should therefore be considered holistically from the outset.

Even with new construction, it's worthwhile to incorporate interior design into the planning early on. This allows rooms to be optimally tailored to future needs and desired furnishings.

Can existing furniture be integrated into the new concept?

With pleasure. Not everything has to be new. We consciously integrate furniture, art, or personal items that are important to our customers into the new concept whenever possible.

How long does a renovation project take?

For redesigning individual rooms, we typically allow a few months from the initial concept to completion. For a comprehensive renovation or complete remodel, the timeframe is correspondingly longer.

A significant portion of the time is dedicated to planning, material selection, and coordinating the tradespeople—phases that pay off because they prevent delays on the construction site. Delivery times for furniture and kitchen appliances, as well as the building permit process if required, must also be factored in. We will create a detailed schedule as soon as the scope of your project is finalized.

In which regions do you work?

Our studio is located in Herrliberg on Lake Zurich. We primarily work on both sides of Lake Zurich, in the city of Zurich, and along the upper lake – including Küsnacht, Erlenbach, Meilen, Zollikon, Zumikon, Stäfa, Kilchberg, Rüschlikon, and Horgen.

We have also completed projects in Winterthur, the cantons of Schwyz, Zug, Aargau, and Graubünden. Please feel free to contact us even if your property is located outside this region.

Do you also design business premises and medical practices?

Yes. In addition to residential projects, we also design commercial spaces, including pediatric practices, opticians, hospitals, and restaurants.

Our approach remains the same as in the residential sector: We develop a concept that fits the brand and the business operations, and we oversee its implementation until completion. For commercial spaces, additional requirements include customer flow, lighting concepts, and industry-specific regulations.
